Lisa Gring-Pemble
Assistant Professor
Lisa M. Gring-Pemble received her Ph.D. in communication from the University of Maryland in May 2000. Her research focuses on public policy (welfare reform), political communication, and public address from a rhetorical-critical perspective. She also is an independent consultant engaged in proposal writing and research, program development, and policy advocacy for non-profit and private organizations. Favorite courses to teach include NCLC 202: Public Speaking and Critical Thinking, Unit IV: Self-As-Citizen, and NCLC 304: Social Movements and Community Activism.
